About RetireCalculator.net

RetireCalculator.net is a collection of focused retirement and investment calculators — retirement projections, 401(k) and Roth IRA growth, compound interest, and savings goals — that run entirely in your browser. It is published by Sumvia, the team behind the Sumvia.net calculator network.

Standard math, shown openly

Every calculator here uses the standard future-value and compound-interest formulas that underpin retirement planning — the same math a financial advisor's software runs. Each page names what it calculates and shows a worked example, so you never have to wonder where a number came from.

Browser-native, no accounts

Nothing you enter — salaries, balances, ages, contributions — is transmitted, logged, or stored. All calculation happens on your device, there is no registration, and the tools stay usable on a flaky connection once the page has loaded. This is a deliberate design constraint of every Sumvia site.

Tested calculation logic

The retirement engine is implemented as small, typed functions with automated tests checked against known reference figures (for example, $10,000 plus $500 a month at a 7% return for 30 years grows to about $691,150). The worked examples in page copy are generated by the same code that powers the calculators, so the documentation cannot drift from the implementation. See the methodology and accuracy page for the full approach.

Not financial advice

These calculators provide general educational estimates. They assume a constant rate of return and cannot account for market volatility, taxes, Social Security, or your specific circumstances, and they are not a substitute for professional guidance. Confirm any consequential figure with a licensed financial professional before relying on it.
